BBC Morning Live star flooded with support as he welcomes baby and shares unique name

Congratulations are in order for BBC Morning Live star Dr Xand who has welcomed a baby boy with his wife Dolly. The health expert, who regularly appears on the breakfast show alongside Gethin Jones, Helen Skelton, and Michelle Ackerley, has also shared the newborn's sweet name.

Dr Xand, whose full name is Alexander van Tulleken, was flooded with support from his co-stars as the news was shared on the official Instagram account for Morning Live. The show shared a sweet picture of Xand and Dolly with their baby boy in hospital and revealed his name.

A caption read: "Congratulations to Dr. Xand and his wife Dolly on the birth of their baby boy, with arguably the best name ever, Rex Patrick Anthony van Hoogenhouck-Tulleken."

They added: "The Morning Live family has become even bigger and we can’t wait to meet him!" Xand and Dolly were flooded with support from co-stars as Sara Davies wrote: "Amazing news!!!" and Neil Jones added: "Amazing congratulations."

Briony May Williams commented: "Such wonderful news. Congratulations." Xand and Dolly tied the knot in 2023, with Morning Live stars in attendance.

Xand also introduced his son live on air on Friday, April 26, and told presenters Gethin Jones and Janette Manrara: "We're so lucky. We are in our bubble."

Xand and Dolly officially tied the knot in London back in May last year, and then celebrated with their friends and family in Verona, with Welsh presenter Gethin Jones joining them.

Speaking about the nuptials on Morning Live last year, Xand said: "The second wedding, the honeymoon, you know what, actually, the wedding was brilliant, the families were lovely but we did have a few representatives from the Morning Live family which was very, very special, Gethin Jones was star guest."
