If you're anything like us, you were obsessed with Netflix's comedy-drama, Beef, when it dropped on the streaming service last April and are wondering when we can expect to see more episodes.

The series stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong as Danny Cho and Amy Lau, two complete strangers whose road rage escalated unto a full blown, violent feud. So, is season two of Beef happening? From the cast to potential plot and more, get ready because here's everything we know so far.

Who might the cast of Beef season 2 be?

There's been some pretty famous names teased for season two of Beef, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, May December's Charles Melton and Priscilla's Cailee Spaeny.

According to Deadline, creator Lee Sung Jin is looking to introduce two new feuding couples, with Charles and Cailee playing one of the couples and Anne and Jake playing the other. Oh, we need to see this!

Plus, there's no Beef without Amy and Danny, so we have to assume Ali Wong and Steven Yeun would reprise their roles. Alongside them, we could expect to see the following Beef cast return for a second season:

  • Joseph Lee as Amy's husband, George

  • Remy Holt as Amy and George's daughter, June

  • Young Mazino as Danny's brother Paul

  • Patti Yasutake as George's mother Fumi

  • Ashley Park as Naomi

  • Justin H Min as Edwin

  • Alyssa Gihee Kim as Edwin's wife Veronica

  • David Choe as Isaac, Danny and Paul's cousin

  • Rek Lee as Bobby

We know that Michael (played by Andrew Santino) definitely won't be back, as he was shot by authorities, while we've likely already seen the last of Mia (played by Mia Serafino) and Jo, played by Maria Bello.

Has Beef season 2 been confirmed?

Series creator, Emmy nominee Lee Sung Jin, just majorly teased his plans for season two and we're so excited!

"I’d love to make more," he told The Hollywood Reporter in August. "We initially pitched the show as an anthology series where every season is a new beef with new characters. At the same time, I really love Danny and Amy and George and Paul [Young Mazino] and the world we created. So, I’m really open to it all."

He added that he wants to continue working with the show's original crew, which is dependant on the outcome of the ongoing strikes by writers and actors in Hollywood.

So, while there's been no word from Netflix about a second season of Beef, we've got high hopes considering the reaction to the show on Netflix, with many claiming it's the best TV show they've ever seen.

Most recently, Deadline reported that scripts for a second season are in the process of being turned in, with filming rumoured to begin in late summer or autumn.

What could the plot of Beef season 2 be?

The first season ends with Amy and Danny getting into a tussle in a wilderness, with him breaking his arm and her injuring her ankle, before they begin to trip out on foraged elderberries.

Eventually, they start to see the situation from each other's perspective, before passing out. When they come round, Amy’s husband George shows up after tracking her phone, misreading the situation and shooting Danny.

The final scenes see Amy curling up on Danny's hospital bed willing him to recover and we have so many questions. Where does that leave their future? Will Danny survive? How will their friendship develop now that they see each other for who they really are?

There's also the character's other relationships that fans are hoping will be developed such as George filing for divorce from Amy and having sole custody of June, while Danny's brother Paul has vowed to have nothing to do with him.
