The biker short, a style made popular by the beautiful and timeless Princess Diana in the ‘80s, has regained its position as a warm weather wardrobe staple. Coupled with a vintage oversized tee or sweatshirt and some sneakers, a classic pair of black biker shorts is a blank canvas for endless outfit combinations. Everyone from Hailey Bieber (who portrayed the late Princess in a recent photoshoot for Vogue Paris paying tribute to her most iconic looks) to Priyanka Chopra is on board.

Wirarpa, a top-quality undergarment purveyor on Amazon, is a popular choice amongst purchasers of sports bras, shapewear and swim trunks. But according to reviewers, the company’s bike shorts are where it’s at. And what could be better than a seamless, non-bothersome pair of spandex shorts? Let’s find out.

The specifics

To answer the question above, the only thing better than a pair of ultra-comfy bike shorts is a multi-pack of them for only $26. Wirarpa’s anti-chafe bike shorts come in a pack of three and received a design upgrade as well: a longer inseam makes the shorts a perfect fit for the gym or the bike without having to worry about them rolling up the legs.

Special touches include a breathable panel between the legs for added comfort and a soft waistband that’s said to reduce shifting and binding. The anti-chaf shorts are available in sizes small to XXX-large, and come in a variety of colours.

What shoppers are saying

With nearly 2,000 reviews equalling an average 4.5 star rating, the majority of Wirarpa buyers seem impressed with their biker short’s comfortable fit and ability to relieve chafing once and for all.

“These are the best anti-chafing shorts that I have ever bought! I've worn them for almost a week now and they don't roll down or stretch out as you wear them (which is great!) so they stay in place,” said one reviewer. “I can now wear dresses and not have to worry about chafing.”

For those looking for their next pair of high-intensity exercise shorts, you’ll be happy to know that Wirarpas are sufficient in length and leave no room for roll up action on the bike.

“The length is good, not too long, not too short,” another reviewer said. “I’m not getting any creeping up or down. Very happy!”

However, it’s good to note that some reviewers have reported the fabric as “thin,” so it’s safe to say that like any other spandex and cotton blend clothing item, the best measure for transparency is testing how the opacity of the material is affected by tightness of fit and colour.

To order, or not to order?

If we’re judging the value of these shorts based on quality, then Wirarpa’s long-legged bikers are absolutely worth the money. Perhaps their best feature is how versatile they are: whether you plan on wearing your biker shorts as a guard against chafing thighs in the summer or as a pair of spandex to the gym, they’ve got your backside — pun intended.
