Even streaming services get their own holiday — and yes, today is that day. In honor of National Streaming Day on May 20, a slew of live TV and video-on-demand streaming services are rolling out deals for cord-cutters.

Cleverly created by Roku in 2014, the self-promotion celebration is now an opportunity for other streamers to attract prospective customers and lure back former subscribers. The streaming device company is offering up to 90 percent off subscriptions to Apple TV+, MGM+, Shudder, Starz and other streamers and three months of Apple TV+ through May 22, while Roku players are on sale for $10 to $200 off.
And while some streamers aren’t offering official Streaming Day deals, mobile companies including Verizon and T-Mobile offer free subscriptions to Apple TV+, Disney+, Hulu, Netflix and others with select plans.

Apple TV+
The tech giant already offers a free seven-day trial to new users and three free months when you buy select new Apple devices. The service is $9.99 monthly and is home to award-winning films Killers of the Flower Moon and CODA, Emmy-wining series Ted Lasso, Severance, Loot, Palm Royale, Lessons in Chemistry, Silo, Shining Girls, Pachinko, and more shows and movies; live sports with Friday Night Baseball and Major League Soccer; and more. Peacock will be the exclusive streaming home of the Paris Olympics — and you have until July 17 to lock in the current rate of $59.99 for your first year before the price increases. Monthly subscribers will see the new rate beginning Aug. 17, so annual plans are the best way to lock in the lower price.
Peacock’s current rates are $5.99 a month or $59.99 annually for the ad-supported Premium tier or $11.99 monthly or $119.99 per year for the ad-free Premium Plus package.
