Emily Dickinson's story will be coming to an end in the third and final season of Dickinson on Apple TV+, with audiences getting a glimpse into Emily's (Hailee Steinfeld) most difficult years in the midst of the civil war.

The release of the season three trailer this week gives us a first look into Dickinson's conclusion, featuring Emily becoming more obsessed about her poetry while those around her belittle her work.

More importantly, the trailer gives us a look at new guest stars Billy Eichner and Chloe Fineman, who will play poets as excellent as Emily herself. Eichner will star as poet Walt Whitman, while Fineman will star as Sylvia Plath, who proclaims that "Emily Dickinson was the original sad girl."

Though fans may be sad to know Dickinson is ending, creator Alena Smith said it was always the plan to have a three-season run.

She said, "When I set out to make Dickinson, I envisioned the show as a three-season journey that would tell the origin story of America's greatest female poet in a whole new way. I can't wait to share our epic final season with the world, and to bring our audience along with us to the conclusion of Emily's coming-of-age saga, as she continues to fight for her own poetic truth, while reckoning with so many of the issues that face us now."

Season three will premiere on Apple TV+ on November 5, with new episodes airing weekly until Christmas Eve.
