Good Morning Britain presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were left embarrassed after Bonnie Tyler pointed out a picture the show was using wasn't actually her.

The “Total Eclipse of the Heart” singer, 68, was speaking on the morning TV show when she pointed out a photo on the screen behind her and said, “That’s not me.”

Morgan said the ITV series’s producers would “solve the mystery” of who the person in the photo actually was, and it turns out it was a lookalike.

“Apparently, it’s a Bonnie Tyler tribute act,” Morgan said, adding: “But we’re going to change her in real life to Bonnie Tyler.”

Tyler laughed along, taking the error in her stride.

The Welsh singer, whose other hits include “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Heartache”, will travel to the Vatican to perform at a Christmas concert for the Pope later this year.

She told The Mirror: “I’ve been told the Pope wants me to sing Total Eclipse of the Heart and I am more than happy to sing it for him.

Yesterdays GMB guest was Irish singer Sinead O’Connor who, after performing “Nothing Compares 2U”, accused the song’s writer, Prince, of trying to punch her and “beating up” multiple women.
