Following on from last week's shocking premiere, we should have been a bit more prepared going into Channel 4's Born To Kill tonight (April 27) – but Sam's (Jack Rowan) creepy behaviour continued to disturb, and viewers continued to watch on in horror.

The death of hospital patient Mr Williams at Sam's hands at the end of the last episode sent shockwaves through the hospital and its staff this week.

Meanwhile, Sam's complete and utter lack of remorse saw him gleefully discussing with Chrissy (Lara Peake) how the elderly patient would have felt as he died, as well as talking about killing insects and rats and violently hitting out at Oscar, the boy he almost drowned last week.

Just another day in the life of your average psychopathic teenager.

If that wasn't distressing enough, this week's episode then built up to Sam tormenting Cathy (Sharon Small) – the nurse who's primarily being blamed for Mr Williams' death – dropping by her house, drugging her and telling her all about the part he played in Mr Williams' murder – right before dragging her prone body to the bathroom where he apparently drowned her.

And then smiling. You know, because that's his reaction to killing.

With the tension between Sam and his mum Jenny (Ramola Garai) building as Sam begins to suspect Jenny isn't telling him the truth about his father's death, Channel 4's latest drama made for some seriously intense viewing, meaning a lot of viewers had exactly the same reaction:

And there were some dark predictions for who's next on his hit list too:

Gulp.

Born to Kill continues next Thursday at 9pm on Channel 4.
