Boy, 16, arrested after knife-point robbery in broad daylight

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following two separate incidents in the Black Country. A 16-year-old boy was detained following a knife-point robbery in Pritchard Street, Wednesbury.

He was arrested this morning (April 25) following the incident at 5.10pm on Sunday, April 21. Elsewhere in the region, three men were arrested after a man was assaulted in a robbery on Hall Street in Cradley Heath.

He was attacked at around 1.45am this morning, police have said. The attackers fled the scene in a car before being chased down by police.

The men, aged 23, 28 and 32, have been taken into custody for questioning. The mobile phone which was reported as stolen was recovered by officers.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Tackling robbery is a priority and we are already running Operation Ruby to catch anyone involved. We have extra resources in Sandwell today to tackle issues which matter to you as part of OpAdvance."
