A 12-year-old boy was so determined to get his hands on a classmate’s McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets that he held her at gunpoint.

The incident happened in East Harlem, New York, on Tuesday, when the boy spotted the girl buying the food from the McDonald’s branch on Third Avenue and East 103rd Street.

When she refused to hand over a nugget, the boy followed her to the nearby 103rd Street and Lexington subway station.

This time he allegedly pointed a gun at her head before again demanding some chicken, NYPD officials said.

The girl smacked the gun away and told the boy to leave her alone.

She went on to board the train unharmed, where she saw the boy showing off the gun to another child.

NBC New York reports that the girl informed school officials of the incident the next day, and the boy was arrested as a juvenile for attempted robbery.
