Bradley Walsh hits out at The Chaser for 'sexist' comment on quiz show

Bradley Walsh shut down quiz master The Dark Destroyer after he made a sexist comment on The Chase.

During the most recent episode of the show, Shaun Wallace, one of the show’s Chasers told contestant Kathryn: "You can forget the snowboard, you won’t win enough to win an ironing board.”

She’d previously mentioned that she wanted to spend any potential winnings on a snowboard.

Walsh quickly shut him down, saying: “That’s a very sexist remark.”

Kathryn was similarly unimpressed and called The Chaser a “chauvinist”.

Walsh then asked her: "Do you do the ironing?"

She responded: “Absolutely not!”

He then turn to the chaser, and enquired: “Do you do the ironing?”

An embarrassed-looking Wallace admitted: “Absolutely.”

The Chasers are quiz masters who attempt to keep the contestants from winning the prize money with their general knowledge skills.

They often mock the contestants' abilities, but this time host Walsh felt that Wallace’s comment wasn’t appropriate.

Kathryn later went on the face Wallace in the final chase, alongside teammate Steve, but the pair didn't manage to beat him, and lost £9,000.

The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
