Football club accounts on TikTok have built up a reputation of indulging in mischief. While on Facebook, X or Instagram, clubs use their platforms to engage and inform, on the most newly popular video platform, they have tended to dabble in more lighthearted content.

It's not for everyone. Erik ten Hag was left bemused and called out Fulham's media team last season after their TikTok account poked fun at captain Bruno Fernandes. Ten Hag ordered the Cottagers' staff to use the social media tool to post an apology to the Portugal international.

It hasn't deterred clubs, though, from pushing the boundaries in order to garner traction and likes. Brentford are one such club - they have almost two million followers on that platform alone and have built up a reputation for making light at the opponents' expense. Dominic Solanke, Emi Martinez and Bernardo Silva are just three players who have been on the receiving end of the Bees' banter.

Now, it's Forest's turn. Upon unveiling their fixture list for the 2024-25 season through the medium of video on their TikTok account, they've prodded fun and have used a different clip - many of them viral - to represent each of their 19 top flight rivals.

When it concerns Forest - by which point we've already seen a bit from the US Office, Tom Hanks explaining why he supports Aston Villa and Marcelo Bielsa struggling to pronounce Ipswich Town - Brentford included a 'VAR - checking goal' screen with Lily Allen performing her hit single 'It's Not Fair' in the background.

Forest's run-ins with VAR and the PGMOL who oversee officiating in the Premier League were well documented last season; in April they submitted a request for the organisation to release audio recordings of the officials who decided their host of penalty shouts in a defeat at Everton in April weren't deemed worthy of spot-kicks.

Forest play the Bees in west London on 21 December before the Bees are welcomed to the City Ground on 26 April.
