A motorist has been branded “Britain’s most inconsiderate driver” after he was pictured parking his car across four disabled bays.

Witnesses said the man left his grey Vauxhall Astra in the middle of four disabled spaces outside a McDonald’s in Coventry at about 5pm on Saturday.

Ashley Brownsword, 33, took pictures of the unidentified motorist’s vehicle in the parking bays.

He said the man and a woman got out of the car and went into the restaurant for at least ten minutes.

Mr Brownsword’s image shows the car parked across four of the restaurant’s six disabled spaces.

“I pulled in to the McDonald’s because my young lad needed to use the loo,” said Mr Brownsword, a scrap yard manager from Kenilworth, Warwickshire and father-of-one.

“But I could not believe my eyes when I saw this bloke parked across four disabled bays, it was just so blatant.

“It was 5pm, so a busy period for the restaurant and if anybody disabled wanted to use the spots they couldn’t.

“We weren’t there for too long but they will still there when we left after about ten minutes or so.

“I could not believe somebody could be that inconsiderate. It was bang out of order.

“There were plenty of other spaces they could have used but they just could not be bothered to park up properly.

“I was absolutely appalled.”

He uploaded the image to the Facebook page, “Spotted: Coventry City”.
