Britain's Got Talent returned tonight (May 18) and viewers were treated to an incredible callback to Disney's beloved The Lion King.

No, a pride of ravenous big cats did not invade the stage, silly.

What in fact unfolded was the young singers from Truro Cathedral Choir performing 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?' – the Elton John classic from The Lion King soundtrack.

As you'd imagine from a church choir, the rousing classic was stripped back, produced through a haunting combination of angelic voices.

The judges were simply stunned, just in the same way we were.

Alesha Dixon congratulated them on their performance afterwards, noting: "Every single one of you should be incredibly proud of yourselves," whilst co-judge Amanda Holden added: "What I loved most of all was how classic it was."

David Walliams was also full of praise for the choir, saying: "Well, that was absolutely stunning, that was perfection – beautiful from the first moment to the last."

Taking things to Twitter, it looks like the young vocalists gained a great number of new social media fans, too.

Meanwhile, if you're in the mood for more Elton John magic, then this month's new movie Rocketman is sure to get your heart pumping.

Britain's Got Talent returns next week (May 25) on ITV at 8pm.
