A terrified and startled Amanda Holden was confronted with a face from her Britain's Got Talent past on Saturday night, before co-star Simon Cowell disappeared without trace.

With the live BGT semi finals now right around the corner and the final just a week away, its crunch time for the judges and the remaining hopefuls, as they need to pick the final few acts to complete the line-up for the knockouts. And the last act on screen on Saturday brought back some frightening memories for Amanda.

As eerie music filled the air and bells chimed, the curtain went up to reveal three figures on stage and one of them was instantly recognisable to Amanda as she shouted: "Oh my god, that's that scary woman who took me into the basement!" Amanda was referring to the Britain's Got Talent semi final from 2019, when she was roped into be part of The Haunting's performance, and was led down into the basement of London's Eventim Apollo by a 'ghost' called Agatha.

Amanda was so scared at the time that she swore live on ITV, so was understandably more than a little unnerved to see the woman responsible, Elizabeth, lined as one of new trio Magicians Assemble. Fortunately for her, she wasn't the judge in the firing line this time, with Simon the unlucky one to be summoned to the stage to take part in their final trick.

The last viewers at home and his BGT colleagues saw of Simon was him standing blindfolded, before he then disappeared as one of the magicians dropped a huge egg timer on the ground.
