Britney Spears pays tribute to a superfan following his tragic death

Britney Spears has taken to Twitter to pay tribute to one of her superfans after hearing that he died unexpectedly earlier this month at the age of 32.

Joseph Hernandez, who went by the handle Tristan Spears, was found dead at his home in Texas on June 7, with his cause of death still unknown.

Writing to her millions of followers, Britney shared: “Just heard the sad news about one of my biggest fans. My heart goes out to Tristan’s family, friends and the #BritneyArmy”.

Joseph’s cousin Pachi previously revealed that the fan’s body was found by his partner, Anthony Losoya.

He told a Britney fan site: “[Anthony] went to work and when he came back, Jo had already passed away and was laying on their bed

“His beloved dog was by his side. I got a phone call from my brother telling me about it while I waited for my son to come out of school.”

Britney has paid tribute after learning of Joseph’s death.

Britney previously paid tribute to one of her fans who was caught up in the Manchester Arena bombing last month.

Bradley Hurley was badly hurt in the bombing, which also stole his sister Megan’s life, and Britney was sure to wish him a happy birthday when she learned what had happened.

Sharing a photo of Megan, Britney wrote: “Sending my love to a strong young man named Brad Hurley in Manchester! Let’s all wish him happy birthday today!!
