Brooke Vincent flooded with messages as she says 'I'm a geek' after tears

Brooke Vincent has been flooded with messages as she declared she was a 'geek' as she revelled - and rightly so - being on the big screen as she made her next theatre stop.

It was revealed back in November that the 31-year-old would be making her stage debut by starring in the late Kay Mellor’s final stage play that has since started touring across the UK and will include a stop at The Lowry.

Based on the BBC One show of the same name, the play will tell the story of five supermarket workers whose lottery syndicate numbers come in just as their jobs and livelihoods are under threat. It is being directed by Kay’s daughter and former Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye in her late mum's name.

Brooke, who shot to fame playing Sophie Webster from 2004 to 2019 in Coronation Street, is playing Amy, the sister-in-law of supermarket assistant Jamie, who will be played by Gaynor's son Oliver Anthony in his theatrical debut after singer Max George was forced to withdraw from the role.

The UK tour kicked off last month (April) with the cast, which also includes Emmerdale's former Bernice Blackstock star Samantha Giles, recently completing a run in Kay and Gaynor's home city of Leeds before moving on to Norwich where the tour has been continuing.

Taking to Instagram, Brooke was seen beaming as she posed outside the theatre as she appeared in character on a large LED screen outside. With her arms out wide and a smile on their face, the mum-of-two said: "I’m a geek. I know! @syndicatetheplay," alongside a yellow heart emoji.

And her friends, family and followers were quick to respond. @neutrabebe said: "We like to see it girl." @x.nadaline.x commented: "Love how humble and real you are." @lozza90_x wrote: "Fab show on Tuesday evening .. thoroughly enjoyed it. But taking part in the show means Brooke is having to spend periods away from her fiance Kean Bryan and their two children - Mexx and Monroe. Their eldest son made his arrival into the world in October 2019 and just over a year later, in November 2020, Brooke announced she was pregnant with her second child who was born in May 2021.

And it's clear she's missing them as taking to her Instagram Story earlier this week, she showed a picture of herself and her boys as her lock screen on her laptop and said: "Mum guilt in full flow this morning on my way to Norwich for our play. I thought I had it together then I've just seen a sheep with 2 little lambs and I've lost it," adding a crying emoji.

Alongside the adorable pictures of her boys, she added: "Also! Why do they grow so quick," adding another crying emoji and a broken heart emoji.
