Bus Driver Goes Into 'Daddy Mode' and Saves Child Running Into Busy Street

A bus driver went into “Daddy mode” and saved a small child seen dangerously close to cars on a busy road in Milwaukee.

Keyon Finkley was on Capitol Drive back in February when he saw the child running into the street barefoot and wearing pajamas. He quickly pulled up and took the child into the bus.

Finkley then stayed with the child, giving him a blanket as they waited for police to arrive, the Milwaukee County Transit System said.

“I got scared and instantly went into Daddy mode,” Finkley told TMJ4 Milwaukee. “I would want someone to be there for my son so I had to be there for that boy and treat him like he was my son and protect him,” he said.

According to the Milwaukee County Transit System, this was the 14th lost or missing child found by its drivers in recent years. Credit: Milwaukee County Transit System via Storyful
