Car show roaring success as it raises important funds for charity

A car show has been a roaring success, raising important funds for charity.

The 2024 Wheels Through The Years Show in Burgess Hill featured more than 200 classic, commercial and military vehicles.

More than 6,000 visitors flocked to see the vehicles browse the stalls and enjoy entertainment which included a model steam railway.

All profits from the event on June 9 were donated to charities in the area.

David Nightingale, club event manager at Weald Classic Vehicle Club, said: “It was lovely to see many faces turn out for our annual Wheels Through The Years Show.

"There was a fantastic array of vehicles on show and we’d like to thank everyone who attended. We’re also extremely appreciative to have had the support of Taylor Wimpey, who sponsored the event.”

Mary O'Brien, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “The Wheels Through The Years Show is a fantastic local event that brings together hundreds of people each year.

"It’s great to now know a significant amount of money will be donated to important local causes.”
