Car Submerged in Lake Charles Amid Severe Flooding in Louisiana

Flash flooding brought on by heavy rain and thunderstorms inundated parts of Lake Charles, Louisiana, causing major traffic hazards on Monday, May 17, according to the National Weather Service.

Footage provided by Twitter user Derek Williams, shows a flooded suburban street near his Lake Charles home, with one car almost submerged in the flood waters, with its windscreen wipers activated.
