Carol Vorderman has let rip, saying she’d tried to be on holiday but that the “chaotic government” kept “raising its head”.

The former Countdown star has made her thoughts on the government clear on many occasions.

And her latest Instagram post was no exception, with Vorderman accusing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of “hiding more information than even Boris Johnson” and saying “blatant inequality and corruption” made her “sick”.

“I've tried to be on holiday for a few days but the Tory manifestation of a robbing, inept, gaslighting chaotic government keeps raising its head,” Vorderman told fans.

She went on: “More lies… Boris Johnson's buddies having a go at the Privileges Select Committee for getting rid of him.

“The super rich (unelectable so Boris Johnson made him a Lord) Zac Goldsmith has just resigned as he's been named and shamed. He and I were also having a very public spat last week as he said I wasn't being nice to his Partygate mate in braces Ben Mallet (who's been given an OBE by Johnson). Diddums.”

The TV star continued: “More gaslighting… Where do we begin?

"Back of a fag packet calculations on Rwanda from the Home Office.

“More stealing from the poor to give to the already rich.

“More Tories trying to debase our democracy itself.

“HMRC - gives late penalty notices if you haven't filled in your tax form on time.

“Discovery that 40% of all penalties between £100 and £1,000 went to people who earn £13,000 or less AND WHO DON'T EVEN NEED TO PAY TAX. While Sunak’s mates in hedge funds pay no tax as based offshore."

"The blatant inequality and corruption makes me sick," she added.

Vorderman, 62, also commented on Helen Whately, saying she can “barely finish a sentence other than a party line”.

“Sunak hiding more information than even Boris Johnson....fact...only 1/3rd of Freedom of Information requests answered,” she said.
