Water was spilling over the banks of the Cedar River in Charles City on Sunday, June 23, after heavy rain triggered flooding in Iowa over the weekend.

Local media reported that “major” flooding was happening along the banks of the Cedar River in Charles City, as authorities were making efforts to contain the water providing sandbags to residents.
