More famous faces swap their day jobs for oven gloves
The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2024 will return to Channel 4 in March 2024 with a new group of celebrity contestants all heading to the tent to in the name of Stand Up To Cancer.
Always an eagerly awaited television event, The Great Celebrity Bake Off has given us some of the series most iconic moments (we’re looking at you, James Acaster) and surprising guests (Could David Schwimmer be a better baker?). Its return for 2024 looks set to continue that trend, with a new host of famous faces donning their aprons and trying their hardest to win an all-important handshake from judge Paul Hollywood.
This will be Dame Prue Leith's final series as a judge of the celebrity edition of Bake Off as the 84-year-old chef has decided to step back from the spin-off show. Love Productions, the company behind the show, released a statement in March 2024 saying: "Prue will be stepping back from The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer."

The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2024 returns to Channel 4 at 7:40pm on Sunday, 17 March.
Who is taking part in The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2024?
Throughout five episodes a total of 20 celebrities will enter the tent and try their hardest to emerge as star baker of their respective groups. Here’s who you’ll find in each episode.
Episode one
Jodie Whittaker
Jodie Whittaker is an actor best known for her role as 13th Doctor on the long-running sci-fi show Doctor Who.
Paloma Faith
Paloma Faith is an English musician and actor who has also appeared as a host on the popular TV singing show The Voice.
Munya Chawawa
Munya Chawawa is a British-Zimbabwean stand up comedian who has appeared on shows like Taskmaster and Would I Lie To You?
Spencer Matthews
Spencer Matthews is a television personality best known for his time on the reality show Made in Chelsea. He’s also appeared in Celebrity MasterChef and The Jump.
Episode 2
Danny Dyer
Danny Dyer is a British actor who has appeared on the likes of EastEnders, The Football Factory and Human Traffic.
Rhod Gilbert
Rhod Gilbert is a Welsh stand-up comedian and a recent cancer survivor, having emerged victorious from a battle with stage four cancer.
Yinka Bokinni
Yinka Bokinni is a British radio host and television presenter. She can be heard on Radio 1 and before that on Captal Xtra.
Leigh Francis
Leigh Francis is a British comedian best known for his ITV-based alter ego Keith Lemon. Before that, he performed a variety of different characters on Channel 4 sketch show Bo Selecta.

David O’Doherty
David O’Doherty is an Irish stand-up comic who also performs music, writes plays and pens children’s books.
Oti Mabuse
Viewers may recognise Oti Mabuse from Strictly Come Dancers where she is featured as one of the show’s in-house professional dancers. Mabuse won the show in 2019 and again in 2020.
Gabby Logan
Gabby Logan is a British TV presenter and radio host. Over the years, she’s fronted a number of programmes and can be also be found co-hosting the Sports Personality of the Year awards.
Suzi Ruffell

Dermot O’Leary
Dermot O’Leary is a well known television presenter and can typically be seen most days as the co-host of This Morning on ITV.
Greg James
Greg James is a radio presenter on BBC Radio 1. He hosted the station’s iconic drive time show and can now be found presenting the channel’s morning show.
Fern Brady
Fern Brady is a Scottish stand up comedian and actor. She’s previously appeared on shows like Taskmaster and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

The Reverend Richard Coles
The Reverend Richard Coles is a vicar, author and TV personality who has starred on a number of TV shows including Would I Lie To You? Have I Got News For You and QI.
Sara Cox
Sara Cox is a British presenter of TV and radio. From 2000 to 2003 she hosted the breakfast show on Radio 1. She can now be found hosting Radio 2’s drive time show.
Joe Locke
Joe Locke is an actor hailing from the Isle of Man. He’s best known for playing Charlie Spring in Netflix hit Heartstopper.
Adam Hills
Adam Hills is an Australian comedian and presenter. You likely recognise him best as the host of The Last Leg on Channel 4.
Who will be hosting The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2024?
Familiar series hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond will return to present The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2024. They’ll be joined once again by the show’s in-house judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. This will be Leith's final season of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C.
Speaking about hosting her first Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off special, Hammond said: “I’m totally in awe of this year’s celebrity bakers, all putting their baking skills, or in some cases lack of, under nationwide scrutiny to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.
“And as someone who proved to be something of a baking genius [sic] when I baked in the tent a few years ago, I was delighted to be able to show them the ropes and where the oven doors were.”
