What did you miss?

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer resumed on Channel 4 tonight (7 April), with BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James, Spice Girls icon Mel B, This Morning's Dermot O'Leary and comedian Fern Brady raising money for a fantastic cause this time around.

During the Signature round, which tasked the foursome with producing a batch of iced buns, Greg came out with quite the revelation in that he'd "survive on just custard" if that was an option.

What, how and why?

Inspired by a childhood memory, Greg's iced bun design was topped off with custard icing.

Having placed his dough in the oven, the cameras caught him saying: "OK, custard time... Custard for me is life, if I could survive on just custard I would!"

Picking up on the star's penchant for the gooey yellow stuff, Bake Off co-host Alison Hammond then asked if he'd ever "had a bath of custard", which caused all sorts of confusion. "What's Abaffer Custard?" he replied, thinking she'd referenced a posh brand of some sort.

Later on at the judging table, Paul Hollywood told Greg: "The shapes are really odd. The colour looks about right but it's the custard - I reckon if you dropped it on the floor it'd bounce back up and smack you in the face."

He'd left it to harden, unfortunately.

What else went down in the Celebrity Bake Off tent?

In the same Signature challenge, O'Leary's fruits of the forest theme went down an absolute treat with Hollywood, who gave him one his highly sought-after handshakes.

He explained to the stunned baker: "The reason I'm giving you a handshake is because that was one of my favourite flavours when I was a kid, and you've managed to get the same flavour and texture in an iced bun that I remember as a child. Well done, thank you."

In the aftermath, O'Leary admitted that his nearest and dearest had kept pestering him about potentially getting a 'Hollywood Handshake' in the tent.

"I was like: firstly I won't get the handshake but secondly in your head you're like, it doesn't matter if you don't get the handshake, it's fine. But then you get the handshake and I'm like, why do I feel like a five-year-old child? I properly choked up a little bit!" he said.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer airs Sundays on Channel 4.
