Celebrity Big Brother will return to screens next month, according to reports.

The popular Channel 5 show will reportedly start on August 17, with the celebrity version taking place before the civilian series, according to The Sun.

The start date was said to have been pushed back to avoid any clash with popular ITV2 show Love Island.

An official announcement is yet to be made about the upcoming series. Channel 5 have been contacted for comment.

Over recent months, there has been speculation over the theme of this year’s programme with the latest reports suggesting that it will be “eye of the storm”.

According to the Daily Star, the famous logo will be dark in colour surrounded by murky clouds.

Rumours for the new batch of contestants include Samantha Markle, axed Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole and Katie Price’s estranged husband Kieran Hayler.

Earlier, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side host Rylan Clark-Neal teased some massive news incoming to celebrate the show’s 18th anniversary tomorrow.

The TV star, who set up camp in the famous house in January 2013, told fans to “keep your eyes peeled” on Wednesday.

He tweeted: “Eye spy...... That tomorrow is @bbuk ‘s 18th Birthday.... Big Brother is coming and on his milestone birthday you should keep your EYEs peeled x.”

Clark-Neal has been teasing fans with news ahead of the series start later this year. He tweeted a ‘video loading’ clip alongside the caption “nearly” as well as posting: “18 years ago today 10 housemates began to change the future of British television...... 4 days later the first ever episode of @bbuk aired....”
