Celebrity Big Brother gets off to explosive start as 3 stars at risk of eviction

Sharon Osbourne has chosen the three celebrities who will be at risk of eviction this week.

She was confident in her choices on Gary Goldsmith and David Potts. Then Louis Walsh put a spanner in the works when she wanted to choose the Coronation Street actor Colson Smith. He persuaded her to let Colson Smith escape the public vote and instead he got her to vote for Zeze Millz. Osbourne explained her reasoning to Big Brother and she didn't hold back!

"It's not that!" She said. "David has come to show off, he was trying too hard to be outrageous. I'm trying to be fun and outrageous. Look at me! Gary I think is very nervous. I don't think he is comfortable yet. Zeze I didn't get a sense of who she is yet."

Fern Britton admitted to Will Best that she has seen some "terrible things" in her TV career.

From This Morning to becoming a best selling author, she said she was looking for her next adventure in the Big Brother house.

When it comes to living with others, the former This Morning star shared her main gripe is when someone leaves the kettle empty. She said: "It's the small things that makes you want to punch your lights out." Plus, Britton has already had some advice from her children who told her not to "say the C word" or show her private parts on TV. The broadcaster plans to stick to their advice.

Heartstopper actor Bradley Riches looked very excited to be heading into the Big Brother house. "Love you!" He shouted to the screaming crowds.

Riches is already great pals with Big Brother's Henry and Jordan who recently shot to fame on the reality series last year. The actor didn't miss a chance to say hello to his fans as he shared high fives with people before heading into the house.

Lauren Simon kissed and hugged all the Celebrity Big Brother housemates when she headed in.

Gary Goldsmith looked delighted to get a kiss and a hug. Watching on from outside of the Big Brother house, TV host Will Best predicted the friendships and bonds that were going to form in the house. He said he thought The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Simon and Goldsmith were going to get along very well.

Zeze Millz managed to keep her upcoming Celebrity Big Brother appearance from AJ Odudu.

The pair had bumped into each other by chance at an event last week but Millz kept it tight lipped that she was going to be heading into the house. A surprised Odudu said, "You are so good at keeping secrets!"

Millz agreed that she is good at keeping secrets. "I really am," she said. But she did admit it was hard work and she had to then avoid Odudu so she didn't let it slip that they would meet again on Celebrity Big Brother.

Levi Roots said he was the dragon slayer, having made his name on Dragons' Den many years ago.

The TV star promised to deal with difficult housemates when grilled by TV host Will Best. He sang to the TV host: "It's so nice I had to name it twice. I call it reggae reggae sauce." He then clarified he would cope.

Watching on in secret, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh quickly agreed they were going to like Roots. "I'm going to like him!" Quipped Walsh. The X Factor star was very impressed with Roots moments after he arrived in the house. "He knows everybody's names."

David Potts could be in the firing line for the eviction this week after Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh admitted they weren't sure about him.

"He's wearing nothing," Osbourne declared.

"He's a bit much!" Walsh said. However, Osbourne said she needed to find out whether it was put on or whether he was genuinely bubbly.

David Potts gave it all the sass as he wiggled and ran up the steps to greet Will Best and AJ Odudu.

The Ibiza Weekender star promised to be the life and soul of the Big Brother house. "Of course I will. I'm so ready!" He screamed before running towards the Big Brother house door to meet the other celebrities who were already inside.

It's no doubt that Potts will bring the drama. In his introduction video, he said: "I don't like confrontation... but I'm ready for it."

Marisha Wallace is definitely going to be singing in the Big Brother house all of the time. She promised to be the jukebox inside the house.

The West End star wowed everyone with her pleated pink dress. Will Best asked how she was going to get on in the Big Brother house but Wallace had no worries at all. She oozed confidence as she said: "I'm going to be fine, this is like the first day on a musical."

Confident as ever, the singer belted out a tune before sauntering her way into the Big Brother house. She exclaimed "Oh my god" while wondering through the Big Brother mirrored corridor.

Goldsmith didn't confirm or deny whether Kate Middleton would be watching his Celebrity Big Brother stint.

When asked by the TV hosts, he cheekily quipped that if she was watching she would possibly be hiding while doing so. He said: "If she is it will be behind the sofa I guess."

Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith is arguably one of the most controversial signings.

Moments into his VT introduction, the millionaire gushed about his niece saying she was fabulous. "She is simply perfect," he said of his niece. Plus, he revealed the first time he met Prince William he said he was "very normal".

Finally talking about himself, the uncle admitted he was a "nightmare" as he promised to be absolutely chaotic in the house. He said: "I'm a nightmare to live with." In tongue and cheek, he added: "There's a reason I've had four wives."

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu let it slip that she already knows the Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin. She said they had previously met when appearing on quiz show The Weakest Link. Hilariously, this wasn't lost on fans who pointed out many of the celebrities already know each other. Of course, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh have plenty of work history together having worked on The X Factor as judges for many years.

Among the comments, one person wrote: "Yeah they all match because they planned it together seeing as they all know each other." Others even suspected the celebrities could have met up ahead of their Big Brother stint. One person wrote: "You can clearly tell that the celebrities are really trying not to make it obvious that they have already met eachother at the hotel."

Coronation Street star Colson Smith is swapping the cobbles for the Big Brother house.

The actor said it was a "real pinch me moment" and he said his mum was going to be watching and proud of him. He admitted he has been a lifelong fan of the show. He added: "Literally it was the talk of school back in the day. Now I'm going in the house... It's mental."

Delighted, he ran through the corridor to go meet the other housemates.

Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu made a glamorous arrival in a white dress with a thigh-high split and ruffled design. She waved to all the screaming crowds and gave high fives to the onlookers.The bombshell had her hair coiffed into perfect curls.

Asked about her dream housemate, Cülcüloğlu had just one thought. She said she wants a "loyal" housemate. Will she find loyalty in the Celebrity Big Brother house?

X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh were in their element as they sat in a secret room while watching Strictly's Nikita Kuzmin enter the house. "He thinks he's first," whispered Walsh to Osbourne. Will Kuzmin be on their list for the eviction?

Nikita Kuzmin is the next person to enter the Celebrity Big Brother.

The Strictly Come Dancing star said he has a fiery personality ahead of his arrival at the Big Brother house. He shimmied his way up the stairs to the cheers of the audience. TV personality Kuzmin said he would love to see Gordon Ramsay in the house - mainly because he owes him a chicken kiev.

Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne were delighted to be reunited as they wrapped their arms around each other.

Seeking comfort in Osbourne, Walsh playfully asked what were they getting into. "What are we doing?" He asked her twice.

"I don't know!" Osbourne said.

"It looks nice," Walsh said of the Big Brother house.

"It's very sexy," cheekily quipped Osbourne.

Now Walsh must help Osbourne with the secret task. They must choose the three candidates that could face eviction together.

Louis Walsh is the first official Celebrity Big Brother housemate.

He is very excited to be reunited with his former The X Factor co-star Sharon Osbourne after hearing she had entered the house. He said he was going to stick with: "Mrs O! I'm with Mrs O. She's going to protect me. I heard she went in."

He added: "Well I'm just going to be honest. I'm just going to be me. I can't be anybody else."

Sharon Osbourne has already been given a secret task ahead of the other celebrities arriving.

Big Brother told Osbourne she must choose three housemates to put in the danger zone for the eviction later this week. "How fabulous!" she said. Then Big Brother said the reality star must choose one person who definitely faces the public vote. She added cheekily: "Brilliant I can't wait."

Sharon Osbourne smooched AJ Odudu on the lips as a very friendly hello as she made her grand entrance.

Asked why she was finally doing Celebrity Big Brother, Osbourne only had one answer saying: "Why not?" Her question was met from excited screams in the crowd. She promised to be totally unfiltered in the house after someone in the house shouted "no" she wouldn't. She added: "I think so."

Sharon Osbourne said she is good fun to live with as she heads into the Big Brother house.

The TV personality is the first Celebrity Big Brother lodger ever in all of its series. She said while she's not there for a long time she's there to have good fun. She told the cameras: "Not a long time but a good time. I'm so excited to be involved. It's going to be a bumpy ride!"

Will Best teased her appearance saying: "For the first time ever he's going to welcome a celebrity lodger into his house."

AJ Odudu added: "It's a Big Brother first. It's got to be someone who he's always had his eye on."

AJ Odudu has said the rumoured line-up for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ is exciting.

The 36-year-old broadcaster will take to the screen to host the ITV reality show with Will Best, 39, tonight (04.03.24) and has teased that the cast, which is rumoured to include former ‘X Factor’ judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, will make for a “great” programme.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’m excited. If even half of the rumoured line-up is true, it's going to be great. We’re really excited and the success of the last series was all down to the incredible cast. You’d never see them put together in a million years, and that’s what I want from this celebrity line-up too.”

The countdown to the Celebrity Big Brother (CBB) launch show is officially on and fans can expect a number of twists as the rebooted show returns following a six year hiatus.

The ‘civilian’ version of the show proved a success last year and hosts AJ Odudu, 36, and Will Best, 39. are confident that the celebrity version will be equally well received.

“Obviously it was nerve wracking because it was a reboot, there was a lot of pressure on it, but the one thing that wasn’t nerve wracking was I’m going to be with AJ,” Best told members of the press, including the Standard.

One of the lesser known stars tipped to be heading into the CBB house is West End icon Marisha Wallace.

The 38-year-old singer has a long history of treading the boards on Broadway and in the West End, with her most recent performance being a nearly year-long run as Adelaide in the critically-acclaimed hit Guys & Dolls at the Bridge Theatre in London.

There are rumours of Fern Britton heading into the Celebrity Big Brother house but will she speak about her fallout with her former co-star Phillip Schofield?

The former This Morning host-turned-author is among the line-up of stars due to appear in the first series if the ITV reboot of the reality show. Britton hosted the ITV daytime show from 1999 to 2009, working alongside Schofield for seven years. But she is reported to blame her co-host for her departure from This Morning, when she was replaced by Holly Willoughby. She has never spoken out directly about the rumoured feud between herself and Schofield.

After six years off our screens, it begs the question: why is Celebrity Big Brother back after all this time?

Big Brother returned to our screens late last year and it had a huge impact. TV bosses revealed it was Big Brother's success that spurred them onto bring back Celebrity Big Brother as they explained there was a demand for the celebrity spin off.

Announcing Celebrity Big Brother's return, Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller Paul Mortimer said: "The reception from our viewers to Big Brother's return has been fantastic.

"We're therefore thrilled to announce that we'll be bringing our very own celebrity edition to ITV1 and ITVX next year. Casting is underway to find a new batch of famous faces who are sure to provide more iconic and unmissable BB moments."

CEO of Initial, Remarkable Entertainment and Znak TV, Natalka Znak added: "The launch series on ITV2 has been so much fun to make and we’re glad Big Brother has found a whole new audience on ITV2. It’s been a joy working with ITV and we’re excited to do it all over again and this time with celebrities and on ITV1."
