Louis Walsh launched into a furious tirade taking aim at showbiz personalities on Celebrity Big Brother.

As the Celebrity Big Brother series kicked off, it looked like Walsh could become the 2024 villain when he was called out for his "diva behaviour" by making huge demands about the sleeping arrangements.

The TV judge has made an explosive return to television as he made cutting comments about celebrities. As well as fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Fern Britton, Walsh didn't hold back when discussing some of the stars he has crossed in the showbiz world.

Here is everything Walsh has said about Jedward, Take That, Ronan Keating, Andrew Lloyd Webber on Celebrity Big Brother. Some of his outbursts may raise eyebrows...

Take That

Walsh made rude comments about Take That as he called Mark Owen "very old" and claimed Jason Orange "didn't have to do much".

In discussion with Sharon Osbourne, Walsh didn't hold back about the stars when discussing Orange's exit from the band in 2014. Walsh said: "What happened to Jason. He just disappeared. And he was a nice guy...just gone.

"And he didn't have to do much, he just had to do a bit of dancing. That's all he had to do. He wasn't a singer as such, Gary (Barlow) and Mark (Owen) kind of held the vocals together."

However, that didn't mean that he had good words to say about Owen as he added: "Mark's got very old. Very old."

Louis Walsh's feud with Jedward

A very public row has erupted between Walsh and Jedward after the Irish star's Celebrity Big Brother outburst. They have plenty of history; the Celebrity Big Brother star mentored the singing brothers when they starred on The X Factor in 2008 and they came in sixth place. When he went onto manage them after the show, Walsh pocketed as much as five million.

Walsh sparked furore when he called The X Factor stars "vile" on Celebrity Big Brother on Tuesday. He told Colson Smith about Jedward: "They were vile… I done five million quid with them, I swear on my mother’s life. They were vile, they were novelty, they were great for the show."

Jedward didn't suffer in silence as they hit back at Walsh with a string of furious social media posts on X. They branded him an "evil manipulator". Among the posts, they claimed: "Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b****** who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died."

They added: "Girls aloud hate Louis! Jedward hate Louis! Ronan Keating hates Louis! All future acts should be made aware of what this VILE man is really like."

Jedward called for justice to be served after Walsh launched a war of words on the pair. They further explained: "Louis reopened these wounds all by himself being spiteful and disrespectful we aren’t going to have our character taken. Justice will be served."

Gemma Collins threw her support behind Jedward following Walsh's outburst on Celebrity Big Brother. Alongside a photo of the three of them together, she wrote a message of support on Instagram. She penned: "Shocked to see what was said about my boys. They are the sweetest talented polite educated kind boys I’ve ever met hence why they are always in my company !!! TEAM JEDWARD."

In the Celebrity Big Brother house, Walsh also shared his dislike of Boyzone star turned The One Show presenter Ronan Keating.

As Keating's hit Life Ia A Rollercoaster was played into the house Walsh let rip about the singer. He said to Osbourne: "He was such a p***k. Everybody thinks he's a lovely guy. He hasn't had a hit record since I left, well he sacked me."

Walsh has taken aim at Keating over the years and the Life Is A Rollercoaster star has even responded to his previous attacks. "Really he should just move on and be happy and grateful for what he's achieved – he's had a great career," Keating previously said in a radio interview with Magic FM. "It's no life to be bitter and talking negatively about people – it festers in your soul."

Andrew Lloyd Webber

Additionally, Walsh hit out at Andrew Lloyd Webber branding him a "freak" and a "strange man" after his friend Sharon Osbourne said she loved his musical. Conversation turned to the composer when discussing the 1984 musical Starlight Express that Webber had written.

"Never saw it Sharon," Walsh said. "He's a bit of a freak, Lloyd Webber, strange man."

Surprised, Osbourne responded: "I thought he was gay."

Walsh didn't mind telling Osbourne she was wrong, saying: "No the opposite, he was married to Sara Brightman, she has an amazing voice."

Fern Britton

Walsh didn't save his criticisms for those who knew well in the showbiz world. The Irish star also made digs at fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate and This Morning star Fern Britton. He branded the presenter "too old" to have 'The X Factor'.

The housemates were set a popstar audition task and former The X Factor judges Osbourne and Walsh. But the Irish music manager immediately decided former This Morning host Britton, 66, was not going to be any good because of her age.

Britton, 66, was put in a group with former Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, TV presenter Zeze Millz and The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lauren Simon to perform Girls Aloud hit Something Kind Of Ooh. They were coached by Broadway star Marisha Wallace and Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin.

Asked by Big Brother in the Diary Room is they thought their fellow housemates had the X Factor, Walsh immediately said: "Not Fern." Osbourne told him "Stop it." But Walsh continued: "She's too old. We'll have to put her at the back."

Later on when the women were dressed for their performance Walsh said: "You're looking great. Even Fern looks good." Despite the other women challenging him for saying "even" he kept repeating himself. And said "She's older."

Celebrity Big Brother airs at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
