'Celebrity MasterChef' semi-finals: Which celebrities are still in the competition?

Celebrity MasterChef has reached semi-finals week, with eight famous cooks vying to make it through to the 2022 final.

The BBC One contest has been through four weeks of heats so far and whittled down its line-up to the strongest amateur cooks.

But who is still in the running, and when are the semi-finals on TV? Here's all you need to know.

There are eight celebrities still in the competition and heading into semi-finals week.

EastEnders and Call the Midwife actor Cliff Parisi has made it through to the semi-finals, as has Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph.

The cast also includes McFly and The Voice Kids' Danny Jones and All Saints singer Melanie Blatt.

Completing the cast are Love Island contestant Faye Winter, former footballer Jimmy Bullard, model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon, and RuPaul's Drag Race UK star Kitty Scott-Claus.

Only five of them will make it through to finals week, with three eventually competing in the grand final.

Round 1 Elimination - Lesley Joseph was the first semi-finalist to be sent home over a disastrous chicken curry that included uncooked chicken, watery sauce and undercooked rice.

She said: "I've absolutely loved it, but I know it's time for me to go now. Today was a disaster."

When are the Celebrity MasterChef 2022 semi-finals on TV?

The semi-finals air in three episodes over the week - at 9pm on Tuesday, 8pm on Thursday, and 8.30pm on Friday, all on BBC One.

In Tuesday's task, the group will head out on location to cook for an air ambulance crew in tents and with unfamiliar equipment, having to come up with something delicious and scaled up for mass catering.

On Thursday, the remaining chefs will have to impress Mary Berry with one of her own recipes and then create their own Platinum Jubilee dish.

Friday's episode sees Grace Dent arrive as guest judge with a brief to cook up "comfort food for one".

The finals will air from Tuesday, 13 September.

Who won Celebrity MasterChef 2021?

This year's celebrity cooks are hoping to emulate the success of 2021 champion Kadeena Cox.

Paralympic athlete Cox won the contest against finalists Megan McKenna and Joe Swash, saying: "I am absolutely buzzing, this smile is not disappearing from my face for a while.

"I'm just proud of myself for doing it. I didn't change who I was, I learned along the way, but I was still Kadeena right until the end."
