'Celebrity MasterChef' viewers complain they don't know ANY of the new contestants
Celebrity MasterChef ushered in its final heat on BBC1 last night, with five new contestants taking to the hobs.
The only problem was that viewers didn’t know who any of them were.
Strictly Come Dancing pro-dancer AJ Pritchard was perhaps the best known of the bunch, but the others left fans of the show scratching their heads and heading for Google.

They included Jay Blades, a furniture designer who’s appeared on TV restoration shows and This Morning, Radio 1 mid-morning DJ Clara Amfo, actress and former Loose Women panellist Lisa Maxwell, and Dolly Parton’s sister Stella.
Naturally, many took their withering criticisms to Twitter:
Sorry, no idea who 75% of them were on #CelebrityMasterchef last night.

Don’t you have to be a celebrity to be on Celebrity Masterchef?😁 #CelebrityMasterchef

Looks like #CelebrityMasterchef has completely run out of ‘celebrities’. Barrel well and truly scraped.

So I genuinely don’t think I know any of the #CelebrityMasterchef contestants. Not one. #officiallyold

The other heats have offered up a slightly better known crop, including Keith Allen, TOWIE star Gemma Collins, cricket’s Monty Panesar, Spencer Matthews from Made In Chelsea, singer Carol Decker and EastEnders star John Partridge.
The show’s semi-finals begin next week.
