'Celebrity MasterChef': Who's taking part this week?

Celebrity MasterChef is heading into week two of the 2022 competition, with another five famous amateur cooks entering the kitchen.

Heat two will see two more contestants join the select semi-finals line-up by the end of the week - but who will they be?

Who is taking part in heat two of Celebrity MasterChef?

Heat two sees five new celebrity contestants put their best dishes forward for consideration by judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

Cooking this week are choirmaster Gareth Malone, former world boxing champion Chris Eubank, ex-EastEnders and Call The Midwife star Cliff Parisi, All Saints singer Mel Blatt and reality star Queen MoJo.

Like last week's line-up, they'll have to begin by showcasing a mystery ingredient in their first dish.

Their street food challenge is to serve up a popular Canadian delicacy, and they'll finish by creating a special dinner party dish before someone is eliminated.

In the week's second episode, they'll cook pasta and pesto followed by a challenge from acclaimed cook Freddy Forster based on dishes from his West African heritage, and will then have to make a dish that tells a story about their own childhood with another celebrity leaving the competition.

The quarter-final is a tense challenge to cook a perfect two-course meal for former contestants Vicky Pattison, Neil "Razor" Ruddock and John Partridge, with two chefs making it through to the semi-finals.

When is Celebrity MasterChef on TV this week?

Viewers can enjoy three episodes of Celebrity MasterChef this week, with the heats airing on BBC One on Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm.

The week two quarter-final airs on Friday at 9pm on BBC One.

Last week was the launch of the 2022 contest, with five celebrities taking part and two cooking their way into the semi-finals.

They were Love Island's Faye Winter and McFly star Danny Jones, who'll be joined by more names as the series progresses.

Paul Chuckle was eliminated in the quarter-final, Kae Kurd in round two of the heats, and Nancy Dell'Olio was out first.

There are still two more heats' worth of contestants to cook for a semi-finals place after this week.

Look out for model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon, former footballer Jimmy Bullard, and Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones, notorious for her kiss with Seann Walsh.

Other celebrity cast include actors Ryan Thomas, Clarke Peters and Adam Pearson, TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, and comedian Richard Blackwood.

Completing the class of 2022 are Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph, and drag artist Kitty Scott-Claus.

Celebrity MasterChef airs on Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm, and Friday at 9pm, on BBC One.
