Celtic away allocation cut by Dundee as club confirm 'reduced' ticket numbers

Celtic say they have been handed a reduced ticket allocation for their upcoming clash with Dundee.

The Hoops have already had their away numbers cut by other clubs in recent times including Hearts, St Mirren and Rangers with Hibs also vowing to do the same. But while the Dees and Dens Park are the latest to hand out a limited number, the figures are not quite as dramatic as the other sides.

Celts confirmed earlier this afternoon that they'd been given 3323 briefs for the first game after the split which proves a decrease from the 3737 tickets permitted back in December.

They wrote via social media: "Tickets for the #cinchpremiership away fixture vs. Dundee on Sunday, April 28 are now on sale to eligible Season Ticket holders. The Club received a reduced allocation of 3,323 tickets for this match."

The Parkhead club confirmed that the Hoops failed to receive tickets in the main stand, Block B for the game.

Celtic lead the Premiership title race by three points over rivals Rangers and fans are hopeful of getting their hands on the tickets for big crunch games coming up. Sky Sports are, however, broadcasting the game for those who cannot make it.

Football Scotland has contacted Dundee for comment.
