Celtic fans detect Rangers 's***housing' as club show off their steel amid Ibrox construction cock-up

Celtic fans reckon their social media team have subtly stuck the boot into rivals Rangers - by literally showing off their steel.

On Thursday it was announced that development works on Ibrox are behind schedule and it's set to force Rangers to find somewhere else to play for the first month of the season. It's down to a delayed shipment of steel for a new cantilever section, being built as part of an overhaul of the club’s facilities for disabled fans.

They aren't expected to arrive until late July, pushing the development works back, and the cock-up led to one club employee being sacked. It remains to be seen where they will play their games in the interim - but fans across the city at Celtic have been rejoicing in the chaos. On Friday, Celtic posted a video of their own development - their new East End Training Centre - which they say is 'progressing at pace' and 'Forging' ahead. And fans reckon the timing, and wording, of the latest update was far from a coincidence.

One wrote: "Epic trolling lads," while another labelled it "magnificent, subtle s***housing." Another even cheekily suggested a temporary groundshare, saying "Rangers could play here tbf" while someone else asked: "Is there no delay in materials?"

"I see what you did there, showing off all that steel," said one fan. And another stuck the boot in, adding: "Only one team in Glasgow that can build something efficiently..."
