Families can enjoy a fun-filled day out at Gulliver's World for less this month, thanks to the theme park's Food Bank Weekend.

On May 18 and 19, visitors who bring along a non-perishable food item can get their hands on a ticket for £14 - a saving of £5.50 per person. This means a family of four could save a total of £22 on their day out.

The food items will be donated to The Trussell Trust, a charity that operates more than 1,300 food bank centres across the UK. Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver's World in Warrington, remarked: "Sadly, food banks are now a necessity within society, helping those who are facing hardship and who need support.

"The work that the Trussell Trust does is vital in reducing the impact of hardship on those members of the community who have fallen on difficult times. We are pleased to be able to play our part in assisting the charity and help raise its profile."

Gulliver's World is marking its 35th anniversary with a host of events throughout the year, alongside its thrilling rides and attractions such as The Wriggler, Desperado Drop, and the animatronic dinosaurs, reports the Manchester Evening News.

For guests wanting to extend their adventure, the park offers various stayover options, including a hotel with themed rooms, as well as themed dens, lodges, and tipis at Wilderness Wharf.
