How Chelsea could line up against Barcelona in the Uefa Champions League at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea face a stern test of their European standing when they host Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Catalan giants come to London as firm favourites to progress, though over their competitive history, there is nothing to separate the 2012 champions from their La Liga counterparts, with five wins apiece and a further five draws from 15 meetings.

Blues manager Antonio Conte knows exactly where his side stand going into the tie, but says it’s a challenge they should be excited to face.

"We have to play against a fantastic team, one of the best in the world,” Conte told reporters.

“But this type of game we must be excited to play. For sure it won't be easy.

"I think we start this game as underdogs for sure because Barcelona are favourites to go to the next round."
