Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Set To Be A Bridesmaid At Kimberley Walsh’s Wedding

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will be a bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding, despite facing her own marriage heartache.

Former band mate Kimberley Walsh will say ‘I do’ when she marries her long-term partner Justin Scott, 33, in Barbados later this month.

Cheryl, who has reportedly begun divorce proceedings following her split from hubby Jean-Bernard, has every intention of keeping her promise to Kimberley by attending the event as her bridesmaid along with Nicola Roberts.

“Kimberley sorted the date for her wedding ages ago and Cheryl is going to be there to ensure the big day goes to plan,” a source told The Sun.

“She’s played a huge part in the preparations and being involved has at least provided her with a bit of a distraction from her own troubles.”

Kimberley, 34, also admitted that they hadn’t managed to get the bridesmaids dresses yet - eek!

She told Reveal: “We’ve not been bridesmaid-dress shopping yet, but I’m sure they’ll get involved!”

The three girls have remained best friends since ‘Girls Aloud’ split in 2013; in fact Cheryl and Nicole are even expected to enjoy a holiday with the happy couple after the wedding.

Kimberley spoke about her bond with the girls, who are the definition of ‘BFF goals’, explaining: “We’ve grown up together from when Nicola was 16, Cheryl was 19 and I was 20. We’ve grown into women together.

"We lived in each other’s pockets for 12 years, and it was quite intense. I’ve been so lucky to make friends for life with those girls. The three of us shared so many experiences and we’ve got so much depth to our friendship.

"Even if we go through phases where we’re busy and we don’t see each other, we’ll never lose that bond.”

It is unknown whether their former band mates Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding will be attending the wedding.
