The position allows panda-mad people to spend every waking minute with the endangered animals and share 'in their joys and sorrows', according to the listing.

The panda nannies must be at least 22 years of age and have a basic knowledge of the black and white animals - which gives applicants an excuse to watch every panda video they can find on the internet.

Recruitment for the position began on Saturday and offers the successful applicant free meals and accommodation, the use of an SUV and £19,000 a year.
