Marvel hero Chris Evans has signed up for a new film set to be made by Netflix.

It's intriguingly titled The Red Sea Diving Resort and will feature a glittering supporting cast of Greg Kinnear, Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley, Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola (also at work on a Sopranos prequel movie) and Michael Kenneth Williams.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is a true-life thriller and will centre on a group of Mossad agents and Ethiopians who, in the early 1980s, used a deserted retreat in Sudan as a front to smuggle thousands of refugees into Israel.

Evans is attached to play the role of a Mossad named Ari Kidron – who leads the mission – whilst Williams will portray a brave local known as Kabede Bimro.

Elsewhere, Evans' Marvel colleague Chris Pratt recently admitted that his "heart sank" after he found out the news that his new fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger once had a crush on the Captain America actor.

In an old interview with the US outlet Access, Schwarzenegger was asked if she preferred Chris Pratt, Hemsworth or Evans – and she actually chose Evans. Awkward.

But it wasn't all bad news.

"Actually, Chris Pratt," she then corrected herself. "Chris Pratt’s been looking good lately so, you never know."

We're guessing she'll probably still be watching Evans' Netflix movie, though.
