Coronation Street fans point out Nick and Toyah blunder as they make prediction

Coronation Street fans pointed out Nick Tilsley and Toyah Battersby's major blunder as their affair secret looks set to come spilling out. Viewers of the ITV soap have previously predicted the pair could find solace in one another after Toyah's heartbreaking secret was uncovered and Nick faces isolation from his partner Leanne Battersby.

In scenes aired earlier this month, Corrie fans saw both Toyah and Nick struggling to convince Leanne to step away from her growing association with Rowan Cunliffe and the Institute.

With their relationship in freefall, Leanne then walked out of the flat and it was Toyah who was there to comfort Nick, in more ways than one after a shock passionate clinch. But their draw to one another has only continued.

During Tuesday night's (June 18) first visit to Weatherfield this week, it was the day of Rose's funeral, the daughter of Toyah Battersby who was born stillborn in 2001. In April, Toyah revealed to Nick that the father of her baby girl was her rapist, Phil Simmonds, and that she had kept the pregnancy and premature birth hidden.

She had buried her daughter in a park which has since been dug up in the search for missing teenager Lauren Bolton. The police later discovered the remains were that of Toyah's baby girl as she was questioned over what happened more than 20 years ago.

But in emotional scenes, Toyah was able to hold a funeral for Rose, only for it to be ruined by the discovery that Leanne hadn't paid for it with her savings after all, and that it was Rowan who stumped up the cash in another attempt to silence Toyah after she refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to stop talking badly about the Institute.

When Toyah later refused to back down, she was shocked to discover that she and Nick had been caught kissing by one of Rowan's pals, which he later sent to her as another form of blackmail, but it fell short of revealing the pair had actually slept together.

But Corrie fans were quick to take to social media to mock the pair for kissing close to their flat's balcony. @tracyali2021 joked: "Quick let's run to the balcony for a snog for the whole street yo see. Especially with that man watching your every move come on let's go."

@mrs_pjn asked: "Why they kissing by the window.. anyone could of seen lol." @leonuk1604 said: "It’s a little silly they snogged by a window that looks out on to the street. Makes the scenario less plausible. Am I taking this too seriously?!" @Ian38711310 wrote: "That's right, just do that right in an open window where everyone can see you #corrie."

@ASuperGav mocked: "‘Toyah:’ Oh no. They’ve taken a photo of us kissing in broad daylight and by the window’. Ffs!#Corrie." @AngelaP49083964 added: "Why would they kiss by an open window where people could see in?? Bit of a silly thing to do! #Corrie."

And a previous prediction about a baby being born out of the sordid fling has returned. @laura.croft17 commented: "Now I'm thinking Toyah will end up pregnant with Nick's baby?" @LyndseyFitz added: "I can see a future storyline for Nick & Toyah, After all these years of infertility she will probably become pregnant after sleeping with Nick!! #Corrie @itvcorrie."
