Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank has surprised ITV soap fans as he appeared in BBC's EastEnders.

The actor, 44, has spent almost ten years playing Weatherfield's vicar Billy Mayhew. But before he joined the cobbles, he was part of the Emmerdale cast.

Daniel played Ivan Jones for more than a year from 2005-2006. The character was only supposed to appear in three episode but producers were so impressed that his stay in Emmerdale was extended considerably.

Earlier this week, Daniel spotted himself as Ivan in a classic episode of Emmerdale being repeated on ITV. And now he has also spotted his younger self on an EastEnders repeat.

Daniel played Roger Green in the popular soap back in 2010.

Sharing a photo of himself in front of the TV with his thousands of Instagram followers on Friday, Daniel said: "So…. Having arrived in classic @emmerdale four days ago it now appears I’ve arrived in @bbceastenders 2010 this week too.

"@coronationstreet @bbceastenders & @emmerdale in the same week. Is this some kind of soap record?"

Dozens of fans have replied in the comments section as Claire said: "OMG I had no idea" and Kieron said: "Amazing!" Michelle said: "Have you been in Hollyoaks yet? Lol".
