After an ambulance is called, the police quiz Daniel, who lies and makes out that Max fell and wasn't pushed. As the pressure mounts for Daniel, a concerned Daisy calls on him to check how he’s doing. But the pair end up kissing, only to leap apart as Lydia arrives suddenly on the scene…
Nina goes to extremes to stop Asha from leaving
Asha is applying to Glasgow University but is worried about leaving for a visit when Nina’s so vulnerable.
Asha’s fears are then borne out when, having discovered that there are floods expected in Glasgow, a panicky Nina starts to worry about the upcoming train journey.
Friday’s episodes will then see Nina pocketing Asha’s phone and refusing to let her depart, even going to the extent of locking her in the café to stop her from going.
Craig quits the police
In the midst of all the drama involving Ted’s death, Craig resigns from the police. And when Beth overhears Faye enquiring about a job at the factory for the now former PC Tinker, Beth vows to find out why he’s jacked in his career.
Craig, though, is adamant that leaving the force was his idea and vows to speak to Sarah about the proposed position in packing.
Kelly feels that she’s not welcome
After Kelly finds Liam struggling with his French homework, she picks up the lad’s football and teaches him to count in French.
However, the two of them end up knocking over a bottle of water and soaking Maria’s portfolio.
Kelly later overhears Maria commenting to Gary that she’s reached the end of her tether. But what a crestfallen Kelly has failed to realise is that Maria is actually complaining about Sally rather than her.
Sarah’s disappointing birthday
Adam really hasn’t put a lot of thought into Sarah’s birthday, what with him buying her a smart oven as a present and taking her for dinner a – yes, you’ve guessed it – the Bistro.
So it’s no wonder that when she discovers all about his lacklustre efforts, Sarah ends up storming off in protest. Will Adam realise realise that his plans for Sarah have been less than impressive?
Tim is in his element
Tim is being made a massive fuss of by both Sally and Elaine, the latter even going so far as to give him a little servants’ bell to ring when he desires anything.
But it isn’t long before Elaine’s over-indulgences begin to grate on Sally, who’s left biting her tongue when Tim reveals that his mum is going to stay until he’s fully recovered.
