But Roy isn’t convinced by Carla’s theories that she could have been drugged. Instead, he starts to worry that she’s suffering with paranoia again and decides to tell Peter about his concerns. But how will Peter react?
Sarah has suspicions of Stephen
Tim warns Sarah that Stephen is a liar who claimed he was being coercively controlled by Gabrielle, only to then pass her off as a business consultant at the factory. But what will Sarah discover when she decides to give the woman herself a call?
Jenny, meanwhile, signs on the dotted line and relinquishes ownership of the Rovers. Stephen then works his magic on her and says it’s time she put herself first – all of which results in her taking him by the land and leading him upstairs.
But Tim isn’t done with Stephen just yet and after he realises that Jenny is falling for the cruel manipulator, he advises her that the man isn’t to be trusted.
But might Stephen be about to get his feet under Jenny’s table?
Ronnie has a confession for Ed
Ed is excited about a plot of land that’s come up for sale with planning permission for six houses. But Ronnie needs to buy himself some time before committing as he knows full well that he’s already spent their money.
Various stalling tactics then come to nothing and, by Friday, Ronnie has been alerted by Debbie to the fact that Newton & Ridley shares have nose-dived.
When Ed then reveals he's put in a bid for the plot, Ronnie is forced to explain that there’s no cash as he blew it on shares that are now worthless.
Shelly’s laptop scam
When Paul and Bernie call at Shelly’s flat, they find her surrounded by boxes and parcels, each of them containing a laptop.
As it turns out, Shelly has been purchasing the computers on her old company credit card and then flogging them in order to pay for her carers. But rather than putting a stop to the scam, Paul instead ends up presenting Summer with one of the knock-off laptops for her birthday and makes out it was merely going cheap.
New opportunity for Cassie
Cassie is making friends in the Rovers, where she talks Dev and Kirk into a game of gin rummy. But when Tyrone turns up at the pub, he finds his mum three sheets to the wind and ends up taking her home. At No 9, Tyrone then hands Cassie a pint of water and warns her that she mustn’t ruin her recovery.
In order to instil a sense of responsibility, Tyrone then suggests that he get Cassie a job at the garage answering the phone.
She believes her luck’s in, but Evelyn is of the opinion that this has got disaster written all over it.
Stu has divided loyalties
Dom makes the suggestion to Stu and Dee-Dee that they drop the legal proceedings and come to an agreement. But Stu is adamant: he’ll see Dom in court.
Later in the week, though, Dom will be seen assuring Stu that he only wants what’s best for Eliza. Can he be given the chance to be a better dad? However, on Friday, a meet-up in the precinct sees Dom claiming to have forgotten his wallet, a move that results in Stu paying for ice-creams.
And when Eliza assures him that Stu is loaded, Dom’s ears prick up…
Coronation Street airs on ITV Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and streams on ITVX.
