Coronation Street stars to be joined in Manchester by soap 'rivals' as award nominations revealed
The city may be their stomping ground thanks to the famous cobbles being based in Trafford Park, a stone's throw from Salford Quays, but the stars of Coronation Street are soon set to be joined in Manchester by their soap 'rivals'.
The nominations for the inaugural RadioTimes.com Soap Awards 2024, sponsored by Inspired Villages, have officially been announced on Thursday (May 9) the the big night set to celebrate the very best of the much-loved British TV soaps, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.
The RadioTimes.com Soap Awards will take place on Saturday July 13 at the iconic Midland Hotel in Manchester with a dazzling red carpet entrance before the ceremony.

Fans will be able to vote for their soap favourites in six of the 12 categories, including the prestigious award for Best Soap. A further six awards will be decided by a panel of soap experts, and RadioTimes.com will also be awarding the Special Recognition award to a star who has made a significant contribution to the world of TV and Soap.
The categories and nominations for the RadioTimes.com Soap Awards include: Best Soap, Best Villain, Best Comedy, Best Exit, Soap Moment of the Year, Inspiring Storyline of the Year, Best Actor, Best Storyline, Best Newcomer, Best Twist, Best Young Performer and Best Episode.
