Yahoo News Coronation Street's Julia Goulding branded 'stunner' by co-star after rare appearance with 'the boss'
Coronation Street star Julia Goulding has been branded a 'stunner' by her co-stars after enjoying a celebratory afternoon with her castmates, including her 'boss'. The actress was among the ITV soap's stars who headed to the Tric (Television and Radio Industries Club) Awards.
Julia, who plays Shona Platt in Corrie, was joined by co-stars Tina O'Brien (Sarah Barlow), David Neilson (Roy Cropper), Jodie Prenger (Glenda Shuttleworth), Peter Gunn (Brian Packham) and Vinta Morgan (Ronnie Bailey).
The big showbiz event was held on Tuesday (June 25) at The Grosvenor House in London and the Corrie stars were later celebrating as it picked up best soap while Dame Maureen Lipman, who was also in attendance, won soap actor of the year for her portrayal of Weatherfield's own Evelyn Plummer.

Taking to Instagram the morning after the night before, Julia shared a gorgeous snap of herself posing up a storm for a glam snap at the annual ceremony. The soap star looked stunning as she sported a little black dress which she paired with open-toe black heels and a matching handbag.
Julia, who kept her brunette locks down and styled into curls before adding a slick of red lipstick to her lip, captioned the post in view of her 143,000 followers: "@tricawardsuk 2024 with @coronationstreet we won!"
And it didn't take long for the compliments to come flooding in. Tina wrote: "Absolutely gorgeous." Corrie co-star Sally Ann Matthews said: "You stunner." Former soap star Catherine Tyldesley replied: "Absolutely gorgeous," as Bhavna Limbachia commented: "My Stunning Julia! Miss you."
Meanwhile, Julia also shared a sweet selfie to her Instagram Story in which she could be seen alongside Roy legend David as the actor made a rare public appearance with his co-stars. "Out with the boss! #RoysRolls," the mum-of-two captioned the fabulous snap.
Corrie viewers have been seeing plenty more of Julia on screen as Shona following her return from maternity leave early last year. Back in November 2022, Julia shared the wonderful news that she and her husband Ben Silver had welcomed a daughter and shared a sweet snap of the trio as they prepared to bring the newborn home from the hospital.
The soap star gushed that she and Ben were 'absolutely elated' to have a baby girl and said their firstborn son Franklin was 'besotted' by his little sister. Confirming her birth date and name, Julia typed at the time: "On Saturday our little girl arrived. We’re absolutely elated and Franklin is besotted with his little sister, Emmeline Beanie Silver. She’s perfect."
