Yahoo News Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien rocks red as she joins soap icons at awards bash with big news
Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien rocked a hot red as temperatures soared across the country as she was among those representing the soap at the entertainment industry's latest awards bash.
The actress was among the famous faces attending the Tric (Television and Radio Industries Club) Awards on Tuesday (June 25), which took place at Grosvenor House in London. Also representing the ITV soap was Corrie legend David Neilson who was seen with awards nominee Maureen Lipman.
The pair were seen posing for the cameras together, with Dame Maureen looking fabulous in a multicoloured dress which she paired with a pink hat while David ditched Roy Cropper's trusty cardy for a navy blue suit with a funky tie.

Tina, meanwhile, beamed for the waiting photographers as she made the most of the warm and dry weather by slipping into a black crop top which she wore under a vibrant red blazer with matching smart red shorts. She added height with a pair of place open-toe heels and wore her trademark blonde locks in waves.
The Sarah Barlow actress was also seen celebrating some big news after it was revealed Coronation Street had won 'Best Soap' alongside co-stars Julia Goulding (Shona Platt), Jodie Prenger (Glenda Shuttleworth), Peter Gunn (Brian Packham) and Vinta Morgan (Ronnie Bailey).
Dame Maureen Lipman also won soap actor of the year for Coronation Street and following the double award win, the show's team took to social media with some celebratory snaps.
Captioning the happy string of images, the soap wrote: "Corrie won two TRIC Awards! Best Soap Actor - Maureen Lipman. Best Soap - Coronation Street. Thank you to everyone who voted, and thanks to the TRIC Awards for having us! @tricawardsuk #TRICAwards #Corrie."
Corrie star Sally Carman-Duttine responded to the post, writing in the comments: "Dream team right there." Jude Riordan commented: "Well done Team." @jane_hazlegrove posted: "How lovely!!!"
