Corrections and clarifications

• An obituary of Duane Eddy said he wrote The Ballad of Paladin, when he performed it. Also, Steve Douglas, not Plas Johnson, played the saxophone on the single Peter Gunn; and the 1986 remake of Peter Gunn was produced by the Art of Noise, not Trevor Horn (4 May, Journal, p8).

• Homophone corner: “Take a peak beneath the hood of our world-leading universities …” (Britain’s foreign policy is a relic ..., 22 April, Journal, p2 from p1).
