Yahoo News Corrie's Faye is shocked by Pat Phelan's rape secret
Coronation Street's Faye Windass is forced to reconsider her loyalties next week, as Gary tells her the whole truth about Pat Phelan.
Faye (Ellie Leach) finds herself drawn into Phelan's web as suspicion grows over Seb Franklin's ladder accident, but Gary steps in and warns her that he's not to be trusted.
The latest storyline twist unfolds after Seb tells Faye that Phelan saw Anna going into the solicitor's office just before he suffered his nasty fall last month.
Of course, this is all a pack of lies from Phelan, but Gary is left frustrated when Faye seems to believe every word of it.
Faye and Seb even announce that they're moving into Number 11 with Phelan, pushing Gary to breaking point as he begs his adoptive sister to see Phelan for what he really is.
When Faye still refuses to listen, Gary finally drops the bombshell that Phelan raped Anna a few years ago and this is the reason she hates him so much.
Gary then tells the whole story of how Anna was forced to sleep with Phelan as a trade-off to protect her family when he was blackmailing them.
Will Faye change her mind about Phelan after hearing what he did, or will she stick to her guns and cut ties with the Windasses?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
