Corrie fans predict tragic Toyah twist after hospital dash and insist 'she's not pregnant'

Coronation Street enthusiasts are convinced they've sussed out Toyah Battersby's latest bombshell and it's not a pregnancy.

The Weatherfield regular, portrayed by Georgia Taylor, has been at the centre of high drama recently. Her sibling Leanne (Jane Danson) finds herself entangled with a dubious "self-improvement group" known as The Institute, headed by the enigmatic Rowan Cunliffe (Emhrys Cooper).

Adding to the tension, it was disclosed earlier this year that Toyah had given birth at the tender age of 19. Tragically, the baby was stillborn, and Toyah interred the infant on the red rec.

After confiding in Leanne and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), Toyah found herself in handcuffs when an anonymous tip led the police to unearth baby Rose's remains.

She was eventually freed without charges, but there was little doubt about who had tipped off the authorities: Rowan. Moreover, Toyah has been concealing her clandestine romance with Nick from her sister, reports the Daily Star.

Next week's episodes promise even more turmoil as Toyah is struck by severe stomach pains. Nick rushes home to discover her writhing in pain on the floor.

He whisks her to the hospital where, as he and Leanne anxiously await news, the doctor delivers a startling update. Reeling from the initial revelation, Toyah is utterly floored by yet another unforeseen announcement from the medic.

Now, viewers believe they've figured out Toyah's big secret. While many speculate she could be expecting Nick's child, others fear a more devastating twist for the soap icon.
