Yahoo News Corrie hints Henry could really fall for Gemma
Coronation Street fans will be left wondering whether Henry Newton could fall for Gemma Winter for real next week.
Viewers were shocked when last Friday's Corrie double bill revealed that Henry is only dating Gemma for a bet, despite early hopes that Gemma could have finally found her Mr Right.
In next week's episodes, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) is still oblivious to Henry's ulterior motive as she goes to great effort to plan a birthday party for him.
Gemma throws a surprise Newton & Ridley-themed gathering for Henry at the Rovers Return, which is a nod to the pub's long history with the brewery.
Even though Henry has only been pretending to like Gemma, he's genuinely touched when he sees that she's gone to so much trouble for him.
Henry even dons his sailor costume with pride, getting right into the spirit of the occasion just like Gemma had hoped for.
When the scenes air, viewers are sure to speculate over whether Henry could grow to like Gemma for real, despite his original nasty intentions.
Could Gemma's kind gesture lead to Henry seeing her in a whole new light, or will he continue to use her as a pawn in his shameful bet?
