Coronation Street kicks off a bad week for Steve McDonald tonight (May 13) as he's forced to make a difficult confession to his wife Tracy.

Steve (Simon Gregson) comes clean over his dire financial situation as Tracy pressures him to find them a new place to live.

Tracy (Kate Ford) is fed up with living under the same roof as Steve's mum Liz, but her house-hunting dreams may be a little out of their price range.

One big problem is that Streetcars is losing business to rival cab firm GoLucky, which has attracted new customers thanks to a handy app for booking.

Things go from bad to worse for Steve when an elderly customer needs his help, forcing him to miss out on other jobs while he's distracted by saving the day.

Back at The Rovers later, Tracy shows Steve some house details but is left disappointed when he confesses that they're skint.

As Steve opens up over the GoLucky problem, Tracy urges him to make some savings elsewhere – and quickly.

Tracy's demanding nature is setting the scenes for big trouble later this week, as Steve takes on her idea to accept illegal street pick-ups to boost takings.

This leads to Steve being held at knifepoint by a dodgy customer, forcing him to beg for his life as the situation spirals badly out of control.

Coronation Street airs these scenes tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
