Get ready to feel very, very nostalgic. The Friends finale premiered two decades ago today—and Courteney Cox just shared the sweetest tribute to her co-stars on Instagram.

"It’s been 20 years since the series finale of Friends," wrote Cox, who played neat freak Monica Geller in the show. "I don’t know how we were able to act through all the tears. Forever grateful."

This sweet caption was paired with a video of the finale scene of the show. And honestly, this scene still brings tears to our eyes, too. The finale moments of the show saw the six friends leaving the iconic purple apartment for the very last time, with Monica and Chandler moving to the suburbs and Rachel and Ross moving to Paris.

"Do you guys have to go to the new house right away or do you have some time?" said a tearful Rachel as she hugged Monica and Ross.

"We've got some time," said Monica.

"Okay, should we get some coffee?" replied Rachel.

As the six friends left the empty apartment, Chandler chimed in with one final gag: "Where?"

The clip then cuts to behind-the-scenes footage of the six actors tearfully taking their final bows as the emotional live audience gives them a standing ovation.

Cox and the rest of the cast got together for a special reunion three years ago. During the reunion, they reminisced about their time on the show and revisited the old sets. The six co-stars also reflected on that emotional finale.

"There was a lot of crying that night," said Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribiani. Lisa Kudrow, aka Phoebe, chimed in, "I don't know how we got through actual scenes." Soon enough, the six friends were welling up again.

Two years ago, Cox spoke to InStyle and imagined where Monica might be 18 years later. "I think she'd probably be really, really competitive with the other mothers at school," Cox told us. "I think she'd still be a chef and making her kids eat only the healthiest food. She and Chandler would still be married."

Last year, Matthew Perry, who played Chandler, died at the age of 54. Cox later shared a tribute to Perry. “I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day,” she wrote on Instagram next to a clip from the the show. “When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites.”
