After winning Celebrity Big Brother and being a runner-up on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Courtney Act is eyeing Eurovision glory.

The multi-talented drag queen releases new single 'Fight For Love' today (December 18) and she's hoping the catchy dance-pop track will be Australia’s entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

Courtney, born in Brisbane, will compete on Eurovision – Australia Decides on SBS on Saturday, February 9, 2019, where the country's Eurovision entry will be decided.

And Courtney certainly has the credentials to make it all the way. Before the world fell in love with her on Drag Race and the UK made her their queen on CBB, Courtney was a contestant on Australian Idol.

Speaking about her Eurovision bid, Courtney said: “A sweet 16 years after Australian Idol, I have the chance to show Australia how I have grown as an artist and performer and I am so excited!"

The song also carries an important message. "'Fight For Love' is a dancefloor banger all about coming together and fighting for the things we believe in," she added.

"I think it’s so important to think about the basic human rights of others and to use our collective voices, minds and bodies to lift those people up and bring about change.”

Courtney will next be seen on our screens on Christmas Eve when she presents Courtney Act’s Christmas Extravaganza on Channel 4, where she'll be joined by the rest of RuPaul’s Drag Race season six's top four, Adore Delano, Bianca Del Rio and Darienne Lake.

Describing the show, Courtney told Digital Spy: “It's bloody gay. It's so much fun. It's nothing like anything that's on television at the moment, that I've seen.

"I’ve been trying to be a good new person who is living in the UK by watching as many TV shows as I can, old and new. It's more like an old Morecambe and Wise special or a Judy Garland Christmas special."

Courtney’s new single 'Fight For Love' is available to purchase now on iTunes and stream on Spotify. Courtney Act’s Christmas Extravaganza will premiere on Christmas Eve at 11.05pm on Channel 4.
